PS: I'm on a Mac Pro running El Capitan, so my comments may not be of interest to those who use PCs. So in brief first the cause and then the solution remain a bit of mystery to me.in spite of the removal of NA helping in some cases. Hey guys, on a new comp I put together, I got the full legit NI Komplete installed, Kontakt (6.5.2) installed too, but also the Komplete Portable 6.5.2 for third party libraries, the portable directory lives on a separate drive and my DAW is configured to scan that for the VST, which works fine as it picks it up. After I caught on to that and started opening the xml files in a little program I have, I was able to fix one myself. xml files themselves, what developers did this past summer to make things work was simply change a one line in the file itself. Anyway, NA works fine here, as does 5.6.5Īnd re. days, they suggested I use NA as it would eliminate the problem. Removing it has indeed helped in some cases, but what's interesting is, that when I reported my problem to NI back in the 5.5.x. I have read the complaints and have read the threads, so obviously some people have not been as fortunate, but I'm still not convinced NA is the real cause of the problem. BUT since moving to 5.6.x I have not had one problem.period. Strangely, I had a few libraries disappear when I was on 5.5.2 and had to contact the developers for fixes.
